BAJAO, or where the name comes from

You may have wondered where the name BAJAO comes from. Sounds strange at first, and so not at all like Stand Up Paddling, hiking or camping.
But of course we thought of something: The Bajao, Bajau or Bajaw are an indigenous tribe on the Malay archipelago. Because of their way of life in boats, they were counted among the sea nomads. In the meantime, many Bajao have completely or partially abandoned the pure life on the sea. However, they still maintain a way of life connected to the sea.
For a brand that specializes in Sup Touring, we thought the name was very appropriate! With this in mind, we hope to welcome many new Sup Nomads .
